Christmas 1964 Parade in Frontierland

A nice you are there as a spectator to the Christmas 1964 Christmas parade picture. The parade used a different route than used for modern parades, starting in Frontierland and ending on Main Street. I assume Honest John and J. Worthington Foulfellow are pulling a float featuring Pinocchio. The crowd looks a little chilled.

Interesting to note that Frontierland to Main Street is right in line with the Walt Disney World parade route. I never knew that the Disneyland parades had done the same, assuming they had always followed the route between Fantasyland to Main Street.

Thank you for the interesting, eye-opening scans!!

I had the same thought, Jon. I'm wondering if this continued until the Small World concourse was built.

And now I'm trying to imagine the actual parade route through Frontierland. Where would it have emerged from backstage?
